The reproduced Lagos EC8D collation records LP first with 582,454 votes and APC second with 572,606. The declared margin was 9,848 votes. Alongside it, Mundx publishes a separately labelled polling-unit aggregation covering all 13,325 units in the Lagos inventory.

The Lagos PU layer totals 1,203,034 for the four parties, 36,218 below the declared four-party collation. The PU total is 97.1% of the declared total.

The signs can differ by party. APC, LP and PDP are lower in the PU layer, while NNPP is 2,103 higher. Equality is not expected because EC8D is a later collation layer and the public PU sources have their own selection and transcription limits.

One election, two evidence layers

Declared

The EC8D reproduction

The state table is a contemporaneous reproduction of the result declared at Lagos collation. Its Grade B authority rating reflects that Mundx has corroborated the figures but does not hold a direct scanned EC8D form in the current register.

Observed

The canonical PU layer

All 13,325 Lagos inventory units have selected four-party observations in this snapshot. That means source representation is 100%, but it does not convert the aggregation into an official declaration or prove every transcribed field.

Local

The LGA directory

The local table preserves the route from state totals to LGA patterns. Its values should be described as Mundx PU rollups. A declared LGA result should appear only after a separately sourced LGA collation record is added.

Lagos rollout. All twenty LGA evidence pages now use the reviewed pilot contract. Each route carries ward and polling-unit context, identifies its selected-source coverage, and keeps the declared field unavailable rather than turning a calculated PU sum into an official result. The state directory is therefore a complete navigation layer, while its local labels remain deliberately narrower than the declared Lagos result above. Later source additions can enrich these permanent URLs without replacing them.

Lagos result notes

Who led Lagos in the declared result?

LP led the declared state collation with 582,454 votes, followed by APC on 572,606, PDP on 75,750, and NNPP on 8,442. These four parties total 1,239,252 in the reproduced EC8D table.

Why show the PU total?

The PU aggregation exposes local structure and lets readers trace the selected evidence through LGAs and wards. It is useful because a single state number can hide geographic variation, but it remains subordinate to the official collation when stating the result.

Does 100% PU representation mean complete official coverage?

No. It means the policy selected an observation for every unit in the Lagos inventory. It does not mean every observation is an authenticated result sheet, that all eighteen parties are present, or that later collation decisions are captured.

How should the difference be described?

Call it “declared minus canonical PU,” not missing votes or fraud. For Lagos the four-party difference is 36,218. The label preserves what was measured without asserting a cause that the current sources cannot establish.

What is official, and what Mundx calculated

The declared layer comes from INEC's result collection and a contemporaneous reproduction of the collation table. It is a collation product, not a sum recreated by Mundx.

Mundx's second layer is a four-party aggregation of selected polling-unit observations. It applies policy all-complete-ccij-first-v1: complete CCIJ records take precedence, then complete Mark Essien records fill remaining units.
